Awesome boho chic 70s patchwork India dress has the best colors, embroidered panel in the bodice and bell sleeves. I show this worn both ways on the mannequin, with the embroidered panel in the front as one option and with the keyhole opening in the front as the other option...I love that you can wear this dress either way, both looks are great...scroll through the photos to see what I mean.
I am dating this to the 70s but it could be earlier. It is hand-pieced.
Made in India
The dress is unlined and pulls on over the head.
This listing is for the dress only and does not include the necklace or scarf.
Condition is very good. Lovingly worn. Dusty areas on the mauve 'lower skirt'. A fabulous 'worn-in' dress. Three small holes (tip of a pen) holes embedded in the black skirt panel that need stitching closed or patching. This dress is for someone who wants the wear...it is perfectly imperfect.
Measurements:
*Size XS
*Bust 32" (measurement taken across the seam where the bodice meets the skirt)
*Shoulder to empire waist seam 9 1/2" on the keyhole side of the dress, the empire waist rides really high on this side.
*Shoulder to empire waist seam 11" on the embroidered bodice side of the dress
*Waist and Hips Free
*Length 39"
A note about fit, this dress has a babydoll silhouette meaning the bust seam rides extremely high and depending on your height, could cut right across the center of your bust, a look not for everyone. Best fit is on a small busted person.
